HOW LONG DOES INVISALIGN TREATMENT TAKE?
Length of treatment depends on your specific needs, following your doctor’s instructions and staying on schedule with adjustment appointments. Some cases can be completed in as little as six months while others might need 24 months to see optimal results. Invisalign requires some maintenance and monitoring to stay on track with a treatment plan, and trays must be worn 22 hours per day. All Star Orthodontics supports patients along the way with care instructions and an after hours line in case of any issues or questions. HOW IS INVISALIGN DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CLEAR ALIGNER SYSTEMS?
There are a lot of options available today for clear aligners, but Invisalign remains the leader with advanced treatment planning software and their effective and comfortable SmartTrack aligner material. The Invisalign system also allows for the use of tooth-colored attachments on the teeth which are specially designed to provide the force and pressure necessary for aligning teeth and jaws even in even the most complicated cases. When applied accurately by a trained provider, these attachments allow for the appropriate teeth movement to produce the best result. Whether Invisalign or another brand of clear aligners, the result is highly dependent upon the doctor’s expertise. Dr. Cline customizes 100% of his Invisalign cases, personally designing the sets of trays and monitoring their effectiveness with one-on-one appointments.
ARE OFFICE APPOINTMENTS NECESSARY DURING CLEAR ALIGNER TREATMENT?
While companies today are offering mail-order aligners, most cases require some in-person evaluation and treatment. The in-person appointments not only allow for the use of attachments which may be clinically necessary, but also allow the doctor to personally monitor the progress of your treatment, making any adjustments necessary to stay on schedule. Additionally, your doctor will continuously monitor for root resorption, gum disease or other concern that would require immediate attention.
